AFIM supporters enjoy art-centric trips to luxurious destinations around the world. Those who travel with us experience an in-depth examination of a city’s art scene through rare viewings of private collections, artist studios, and museums, as well as dinners hosted by major art patrons and collectors, educational discussions led by art historians, and so much more.
Each June, we visit Jerusalem for the International Council, where participants join supporters from 16 Friends groups from around the world for four days at the Israel Museum. Guests enjoy curator-led exhibition tours, talks with guest artists, curatorial workshops, visits to private collections, studio tours, and festive meals.
Following the International Council, AFIM holds a post-Council trip, often to a European city. In the past, we have taken in the sights of Athens, Amsterdam, Egypt, Florence, Istanbul, Moscow, Southern France, Petra, and Venice. Additional destinations for stand-alone trips have included Cuba, Chicago, London, Marfa, Milan, Mexico City, Paris, Rome, Seattle, and San Francisco, and beyond.
