New York Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee

By joining the Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee (CAAC) members will have the opportunity to support the growth of the Israel Museum’s Contemporary Art Department through the purchase of contemporary works of art. Members are invited to several exclusive art events in private homes and artist studios throughout the year. The season culminates each spring in the voting meeting with Mira Lapidot, the Israel Museum’s Chief Curator of the Fine Arts. Since its inception in 1999, the Acquisitions Committee has raised over $4 million, for the purchase of more than 100 cutting edge works of art for the collection.
