About
Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee (CAAC) members have the opportunity to support the growth of the Israel Museum’s Contemporary Art Department through the purchase of contemporary works of art. Members are invited to exclusive art events in private homes and artist studios throughout the year. The season culminates each spring in the voting meeting with the Israel Museum’s Chief Curator of the Fine Arts. Since its inception in 1999, the Acquisitions Committee has raised over $4 million for the purchase of more than 100 cutting edge works of art for the collection.
